Episode Notes

Welcome to another episode of Student Success Secrets!

Joining back on today's show is Jessie Rowe - mindset coach, mental health advocate and Podcast Host of Recovering Mentally.  In our launch episode, Jess defined student success actually as being able to come out of school to graduate as a free thinker and to see things in a bigger picture, a bigger view, to be able to analyze them and really reflect on them in order to make the proper action for your next step - which is more than likely your career. On the other hand, many students define success as being academically excellent and having stellar grades. However, more often than not, this rigorous standard they set for themselves ends up taking a toll on their overall mental health - in the form of stress, depression, loneliness and anxiety. Learn more about Jessie's personal experience with mental health and how she overcame those challenging times.
